Farewell 2010

Well another year has passed us,and another one is upon us.We've learned how to Dougie,dealt with the unemployment crisis,watch the miracle of the miners in Chile,saw the devastation of the BP spill.No one was prepared for the blizzard of 2010,the fall of Eddie Long,the death of Teena Marie,the departure of LeBron from his Cavs and his arrival to the Heat,the Magic trading Pietrus,Carter,and Lewis for Turk and Arenas.Tyler Perry taking a time out,but leaving us with a great movie: for Colored Girls,before he took a much needed rest.Lil Wayne went to Rikers,and the train wreck that is known as Nicki Minaj surfaced,Our children are still wearing their pants off their azz and calling it swag.many things shocked us,many were uh huh moments,We have our list for 2011 ready to entertain,many will live out loud while others will continue to do what they have done all their lives,allow others to live for them and participate when all the work is done..........

May you enter into 2011 with a clean heart and a renewed spirit.You can only be your best and that should be enough

Is it ever a right time to say goodbye?........

The old saying "All good things must come to an end" rings true in a situation you never should have been in.Granted going in you knew it was going to be a doosey,but you played with it and went in anyway.Your heart never belonged there, but you made it stay there with you so you could fulfill your own selfish needs.As time went on,you proceeded to feel that "um this ain really what I want."But you have invested so much time and energy into it seems foolish to walk away from it now.You have a million and one reason why your unhappy,but only one as to why you cant leave.It's amazing how we will settle for the wrong in a relationship as to being by yourself.The number one excuse is the kids.People either break up or stay together because of the kids.In the end if the relationship is dead,then you are only hurting the kids by continuing to stay in the situation.I am learning late in life that men can not save us from our families or ourselves.I never prayed for God to send me a man,I just asked was he the man.One morning you will wake up and look at them and ask yourself,what am I doing here!But then your feet become cement and for some reason you can't move.Just know the first step is the hardest,but the ones following slowly become easier to take.

Never look at the bad situations as time wasted,think of it as valuable classroom time where you learned what not to do in the future.Know that if you learn from it,then you can grow from it .I think when you focus so much on your have nots,you miss out on the have's.

Friends

They say birds of a feather flock together,I have grown not to believe that.I have friends that are the complete opposite of me however we work well together.I'm still trying to figure out if you are a strong independent person,why do you tend to have needy people around you?I mean are you working on a top secret mission to transform them into a stronger person?
I try not to complain,however I end up being the ear for all the other folks that know me to complain too,funny thing is when they are doing well you dont hear from them. But the minute one hair is out of place,your phone blows up 24/7.I don't understand the "friends" that feel the need to one up you either,I mean we are all adults and if you are living a blessed life,then I am more than happy for you.Why can't you be happy for me as I am for you?
If you find out some disturbing new about your friends mate,Im not saying break your neck to lower the boom,but at least find a tactful way to let them know whats going on.So many friendships end because of jealousy.
We must be leery of those who are anxious to become a part of your circle,those who ask a million and one question about your relationship and are more concern about your relationship then the friendship.Some of us are holding on to friendship based on the longevity of the friendship and not the basis of what is going on.

Like most no one wants to be alone,however you have to pick and chose the people that are close to you like you buy a car or a house,its a life changing decision that should not be taken lightly.Not everyone is your friend,some of these people are acquaintances and associates,treat them as such and save yourself a whole lot of grief!

Does Size Really matter?

When I meet a man for the first time the first thing I notice is his hair and his face.Clothes are material so unless he trying to act like he a baller,or he driving a 2011Mercedes and he looking like he just left the shelter,then we can work out the gear.Ive dated men with big hands and big feet and well thats all they had.Sometimes I've run into one or two where BIG things come in small packages.On a wear occasion Ive had a friend who's shoe size fit his dick size,but Ive learned its not what you got,its how you use it,I used to have a sex friend and it was strange cause he had all that pipe and didnt know how to operate it properly.I am not a selfish person,but If Im the student,I ain teaching your azz nothing.I got bored with that situation real quick,I think because his public(I kno how to spell it)separated into its own lil island turned me off as well.I have always been amused at a man who talks about what your gonna get,but ends up looking stuck on stupid when you have him sucking his thumb looking like a fetus in a ultrasound photo.the quiet man is the one you need to look out for,of he will drop some dick on ya and in ya and you wont know what to do with yourself cause you so did not expect that from whats his name,I mean it didnt look that big but he packing a punch down there.

My aunt told me once she rather be tickled to death than choked to death,I didn't quiet know what that meant,then as I went in I realized,I like to laugh but that aint no laughing matter.I dont want him to mess up a perfect fit,however I dont want to hurt his feelings and ask is he in there yet............You like what you like,you need what you need,but we have to stop lying to them and ourselves,"Is it good?" um depending on the kinda brother you dealing with  will give the answer.If he crazy Yes its the best I ever had,no need over getting choked to death,if he a wuss,laugh like you have lost your mind while you point to the door and kick his azz out.

I want My Stuff Back

 I recently went to see the movie For Colored girls.Now I love me some Tyler Perry ,however I can't do emotional movies cause it reminds me how emotional my life is.Well there was a part in the movie where Loretta Devine recited the poem,I want my stuff back,not to be out done some of us wrote our own letter to get our stuff back,here's mine,feel free to add yours........

LK: "Well, here's the situation. At the end of the day, when I came into the industry, I had to ... let me take that back. I didn't have to pay homage [to female rappers], but I did, I chose to. Because I knew that would be better for my career, but not only that, I love those girls! I did pattern myself after Salt-N-Pepa and all these other girls that were in the industry, Da Brat, and Lady of Rage. I would've look like a fool coming in saying little things and subliminal raps, because how could I ever disrespect these women who have been in the industry and paved the way for me?

"See that's the problem, why don't we just be real here and go back to a year and a half ago when she was just busting shots out of every place when she said in one of her interviews, 'Oh, you know I'm going to sit by the pool and have the females in the game who's been here for 10 years feeding me grapes, being that they don't have nothing else to do right now.' Oh yeah, bitch. I remember that! I remember that, I'm not going to forget it! Because at the end of the day, how dare you disrespect me or any other female that's been in this industry for so long. She's the same dag on age as us. Stop it! You coming in the game at 30 years old, don't even freakin' go there, don't go there."

BV: When we found out that Drake said that she's the best rap chick in the game, she's the only rap chick in the game.

LK: "See that's another problem that I have, I'm going to briefly explain this, but here's another thing that the world doesn't know ... I have a really great relationship with the people who run her camp [Cash Money Records], Slim andBaby. My relationship is with Slim, I've been cool with him for four or five years now. This whole thing came about when she was first trying to come up and everything. I honestly didn't like it. It was so obvious that she wanted to be like me. It was so obvious that she wanted to pattern herself after me. She likes me, but she just doesn't know how to show me love. So I looked at it like, they know how to do it, cause Slim always got the industry, me and him got the same thing. I got a lot of love for Slim. So his thing was, we should all do something together and that's how I saw it. I was like, 'Hey it would be great for hip-hop to see me and a female rocking together.'

"I wasn't blown away by her when she first came out and even now I'm not blown away. But I thought that she had a rhyme style that would've flowed with mine that I liked. And I said I could kind of see myself rapping with her. So I was like ok, let me make some friends here. I threw up the white flag. So I'm over here and Baby asked Slim to ask me to do a record for his album. I did the record. They put Nicki Minaj on the record, No problem. I said let's do it. Baby was like, 'Yo, this record is crazy' when I did my verse he loved it. He was like, 'I don't just like it, I love it.'

"When they put the record out, I guess the response that they got for her wasn't what they wanted because everybody was saying that I smashed the record. So [Baby] pulled the record back. They f---ing sh---ed on me!? Ok, now it's time, now it's war, because I'm tired. I'm tired of people taking advantage of me and being quiet and people don't know what's going on."

BV: Now what about you and Jay-Z?

LK: "I love Jay-Z. But here's the thing, he had a conversation with me before about bringing me on Roc-A-Fella. And it didn't happen. But, hey, maybe this is the right timing. I don't always agree with everything Jay-Z does, and he doesn't always agree with everything that I do. But we've been friends since 15 years old, so I look at it like there's no escaping him. Same thing with Puffy [Diddy]. Puffy and I are brother and sister. And we're going to fight, but I can't escape from Puffy. It's almost like, I'm stuck with the boy. We're brother and sister and we both don't always do the right thing. As a matter of fact, most of the time he doesn't do the right thing. It's a love-hate thing I guess. I'm just so tired of doing so much for him and he doesn't do anything for me. It's time for me to start giving back to Kimmy."

5.Apopka: Orange Blossom Trail(right by the fruit stand near the Walmart)A native American in lion cloth crosses the highway,looks at you then disappears.

6.Apopka: The Captain and the Cowboy Restaurant:Loud bangs come from the attic and when your alone,you can feel someone brush up against you.

7.Arcadia: Old Blue House in the neighborhood:A family was killed there in the 1800s and the house was burned down shortly after.A new house was built on top of their graves in the 1900's.Spirits are said to still be living in the house.

8.Astor: Campsite Gobbler Rd: Glowing male figure often seen walking down the road around 9:30-11:00pm

9.Aurburndale: The Bowling Alley: It's reportedly cursed,it was built on swampland,some say no one can mange the bulding because it is haunted

Vonetta McGee: Leading Lady of Blaxploitation Era Dead At 65

Vonetta McGee, an actress who scaled the ranks of Black Hollywood during blaxploitation film era of the 1970s, passed away after experiencing cardiac arrest and being on life support for two days. She was 65, though some have her year of birth listed as 1940.

McGee appeared opposite Fred Williamson in the black action movie 'Hammer' in 1972, and had starring roles in the crime-drama 'Melinda' and the popular horror film 'Blacula.'

Los Angeles Times movie reviewer once considered McGee "one of the busiest and most beautiful black actresses."

The San Francisco native also appeared with Richard Roundtree in 'Shaft in Africa' (1973), and co-starred with her lover, Max Julien, in 'Thomasine & Bushrod' (1974).McGee also appeared with Clint Eastwood in the 1975 action-thriller 'The Eiger Sanction,' which was considered a coup for a black actress during that period.

"I was pleased to see her get a role with Clint Eastwood," Williamson told the Los Angeles Times. "Not many black actors had that opportunity to be in a movie where color doesn't matter."

"Vonetta McGee was like a lot of actors and actresses at that time, like myself, Jim Brown, Richard Roundtree, Billy Dee Williams and Pam Grier, in that we had more talent than we were allowed to show because everything was perceived as a black project. Once they categorize you, your marketability becomes limited," he added.

Known to be outspoken herself, McGee didn't care too much for the "blaxploitation" label that was attached to many of the films of her heyday. The label, she said, was used ""like racism, so you don't have to think of the individual elements, just the whole. If you study propaganda, you understand how this works."

On a segment of 'Soul Train' in 1974, McGee joked that she had to go through a "lot of pain" to get her acting career started. In actuality, she attended San Francisco State college when she got involved with a local acting group. McGee launched her film career in 1968 in Italy, where she debuted in the spaghetti western 'The Great Silence' and played the title role in the comedy 'Faustina.'

While starring in several episodes of the 1980s drama series 'Cagney & Lacey,' alongside Carl Lumbly, McGee fell in love with the dashing actor.

"I still remember the first day she came on the set -- it was August 21,1984 -- and we were scheduled to do a bedroom scene," Lumbly reflected in a 1989 Ebony magazine profile on celebrity couples. "Later, when we left the set I realized we were holding hands ... We married two years later."

The couple had a son, Brandon, in 1988.

According to family spokeswoman Kelley Nayo, McGee had been diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma at age 17, but her July 9 death was not related to the disease.

In addition to her husband and son, she is survived by her mother, Alma McGee; three brothers, Donald, Richard and Ronald McGee; and a sister, Alma McGee.

"She was a brilliant actor, with a distinctive style and grace," Pam Grier told BV Newswire upon hearing the death of McGee's death. "I hope everyone revisits her films and enjoy. I wish peace and love to Carl, her husband her son and and her family."

Well it didn't take long for this union to bite the dust.Christina Milian just can't catch a break.She is the poster child of what a cheater looks for.Baby Violet is not even six months old and daddy "The Dream" is running wild with another woman.I knew something was wrong when he said it wasn't his job to help with the baby,that's what the staff is for.Really dude? I just hope the two of them can get along for the sake of their child,Violet didn't pick who she was born to,yet they need to focus on how they raise their little girl!

Congrats on the Wedding,but um how long should it take to put a ring on it?

Well this past weekend quiet a few celebrities have gotten hitched.Most noted was Martin Lawrence and his longtime love Shamicka Gibbs and Carmelo Anthony finally wed his lady love LaLa Vasquez. Both couples have years and kids invested into the relationship,so the question is how long should one wait to marry or should they marry at all after they have children?I think we have to do whatever works for us,however when your in the public eye,people tend to want you to do things on their time rather than your own.There are not many old fashion people these days.Before you marry then have children.Then you got pregnant,had a shotgun wedding before the baby was born.Now you have the children,and when the kids go of to college,you make it official.What's funny about this (not really) is when our children follow our path we become angry with them as though we set a better standard.We have to raise the bar.If we don't want our children to smoke,Then we shouldn't smoke,Not every situation can be changed,yet it is our responsibility to set a standard and stick to it.
LaLa played it smart in a sense,she had the one baby and waited.If he didn't put a ring on it,then she wouldn't have had to worry about a house full of kids.Shamicka was the one who stuck by Martin when he had his meltdown.I guess after what he went through with his first wife,he wasn't trying to repeat it,but eventually love prevailed and all is well in their world! Once again Congrats to the happy couple's and I pray that they have a blessed union.

By now everyone on the planet knows that Miami Heat just snatched up LeBron James.Although I'm not sure who's the bigger baby out of Bron Bron and Kobe,I have to uncrown Lebron for being unsportsmanlike and hand that crown over to Dan Gibson.That dude went in on Lebron as if he caught him cooking naked in his kitchen.He went on about how Cleveland made Lebron and how he disrespected them by leaving.You created that monster and like all monster who get to big for their cages,they break out and become unruly! Although I am not a fan,I am all for a person doing what is needed to grow.I understand your golden goose has flown the coup and your angry,however you are setting a poor example by your actions.Snatching jersey's off the shelves,burning the jersey's in the streets and just showing your behinds.Shame on you Cleveland.All I know when the Heat and the Cavs play,thats must see t.v.

Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight.

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his “decision” unlike anything ever “witnessed” in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don’t deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

“I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE”

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our “motivation” to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that’s simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown “chosen one” sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And “who” we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called “curse” on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former “King” will be taking the “curse” with him down south. And until he does “right” by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

Ok so I went to my daily therapy session today.I was excited cause I feel like I'm getting somewhere with this,I mean I have suppressed my feelings for so long till I have broken me down to the point that I was almost impossible to fix.I decided to get the help I felt I needed and it was hard at first because I thought I would be in a room with people on my level who were battling depression.WRONG!!!I was in a room with some real live firecrackers!!This man was trying to holla at me.I was like scuse me,I'm depressed u crazy as hale!!!He was tryna mac big time,and then he broke out into some kinda Islamic babble.I was like they got me next to the suicide bomber up in here.I must say 2 hours a day with these people make you be thankful for the lil bit thats left in you.I think I need a exorcise cause I do not want these demons latching on to me!!!! Where are the rosery beads and the holy water cause Lord knows I need it!!

If I see one mo man with his pants round his ankle walking like he gotta boo boo I'mma trip his butt!!!I don't need nor do I want to see your drawers.Boxer dingy and got the nerve to be grinin in my face!"Hey ma whut's up?" "Your pant's should be!!"I'm not sure about the other women in America,but I don't want a man approaching me like that.You go to skinnin and grinnin in his face,he thinks that mess is welcomed!!I just wanna know why you taking all the clothes from the big and tall section just to look like a fool?Where is Homey the Clown when you need him?

The ladies ain off the hook either.If you have to hold on to your dress when you walk,it's too short.If Christmas is coming early,then you need to wrap that present back up.We all like to throw a lil cleavage out there,but you got city then tittie then you need to pull them babies down.Go invest in a good bra.Stop buying them dollar store bra's.You be walking and the back strap be up to your neck and your girls be sitting in your lap.

Since this is becoming more and more of an epidemic here are some clues that your clothes don't fit:

1.If you raise you ands over your head and your gut  and rolls fall out.....You need a bigger shirt
2.If you bend over and all your presents fall out...you need a longer skirt.
3.If you gotta walk with one hand holding your pants and your legs gapped,pull up your darn pants and put a belt on!!!
4.If I can see all ya bness,you need a bigger size or you gon break out with something!!

I would also like for you to stop switching sizes.If your top and bottom are not the same,buy separates or buy the set and get it altered.Stop messing up the set!!!Nothing urkes me more than to fined a smedium with a extra large,Whut da Hale!!!!

What's all the fuss about?!?!?!

I'm trying to figure out why Arizona is going through all these motions about people being over here illegally,I mean no one asked the Africans if they wanted to come over and work in the fields and get the hale beat out of them.Yet you allow the Europeans to come over and visit,but the Mexicans have to sneak over.If the Cuban's have one foot on American soil,they can stay,yet the Haitians are forced to "go back where they come from".If we are going to talk about being fair and send the illegal aliens back home,then I say don't be selective,send everyone back!!!Give the Indians back their land,and send everyone home!

Since that's not going to happen,learn to pick your battles,learn from you mistakes,and know that there is only one ruler of the world,and that's the creator.Stop picking through the bible to find the points that best suit your argument.Love is love,freedom is freedom,and we need to speak peace and equality for all mankind!!

Corporate America vs Thug America

Like many I have teenager,and I'm trying to teach them the difference in how society looks at us, compared to how we look at ourselves.It's harder than I thought.Today my 16 year old started his new school,he is required to wear a shirt,tie,slacks,and hard bottom shoes.Professional if you will.He sat in the van until the bus came because he didn't want anyone to see him dressed like that.He looked handsome and very professional.But to him,he looked lame.Because so many entertainers have made it cool to look like a thug,that's all they are trying to see.I told him I would hire him on the spot for the way he looked.His response was,I wouldn't.I remember when I would go looking for a job and people would look at me like I was crazy because I would wear panty hose,a business suit,closed in shoes,and my hair in a bun.I know see people go on interviews with pants,that are too small or too big,a shirt with all their bness hanging out,or a dress that they have to strategically sit down so they "christmas" won't come early!! When asked why they dress that way I am often told,I need to be comfortable.What happened to dressing to impress? What happen to being professional in the professional world? Thug America has taken over and we have allowed it.The only we  are  going to change this is to take back our "Corporate America" by dressing for success,setting the bar high,showing that hard work really does pay off and you don't have to be a rap star or an athlete to really be a successful individual!!
